Betty Jane Gibson
May 31, 1925 - November 14, 2009
Betty Jane (Strosnider) Gibson 84 passed away peacefully at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
She and her husband owned and operated a family restaurant and bar and she continued to work there after her son took over until she was 80. She enjoyed flowers and surrounded herself with many different kinds. She also was known as Grandma Gibson or GG to five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren (ages 3-15). She loved showing off pictures of them to anyone who would look. She was always laughing at their antics as she watched them grow up.
Betty was born May 31, 1925 to Milo Earl and Louie Grace (Cummins) Strosnider in Wana, West Virginia. She married Billy I. Gibson on October 13, 1944 At Pensacola. FL. They had three children, Ron, Sharon and Sandra.
Surviving is a son Ron of Ladoga; a daughter, Sharon (Roger) Neal of Noblesville; a brother John (Lib) Strosnider of Morgantown, West Virginia; five grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.
Her husband Billy, a daughter Sandra and three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Wednesday November 18, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home at 203 N. Washington St., Ladoga. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Rev. Paul Leonard will officiate. Burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery.
