David C. Via, 64, of Waveland formerly of Lake Station, IN died at his residence Saturday morning, December 19, 2009.
He was born to Thedford and Geneva Brazier Via at Ola Arkansas May 21, 1945.
He was married to Shirley Drummond February 22, 1964 at Lake Station, IN and she survives.
He was a member of 29th Avenue Baptist Church of Lake Station, Hobart Moose Lodge and Operating Engineers Local 150. He graduated from River Forest High School in 1962 at Hobart. Retired from Multi Serve in 2007 as a supervisor.
Other survivers include sons Timothy (Lisa) Via, Dewayne (Dana) Hannigan, daughter Julie (Jeff) Santana. 8 ¨C Grandchildren, Brothers Wayne (Barbara) Via and Brian ( Wendy) Via, Sister-in-law Barbara Via and Loved by many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.
He was preceded by the Parents and Billy Via.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at 301 E. Green Street, at Waveland. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor John Hurt will officiate and burial at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery at New Market, IN
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Box 484, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
