Robert E. Morris, 67, of Rockville died Friday evening, December 25, 2009 at his residence.
He was born May 18, 1932 to Virgil and Ella Gibbs Morris at Oaktown, Indiana.
He attended Russellville Community Church at Russellville, Indiana. He was a graduate of Franklin High School. He was in U S Navy 1952 to 1956.
He was an airline mechanic for United Airlines at Chicago.
He married Vivian Bennett December 25, 1952, she died December 1998 thin married Shirley Holmes June 2, 2001 at Russellville and she survives.
He is survived by the son Steven (Susan) Morris of Wonder Lake, IL, a daughter Lauri (Jim) Sobel of Woodstock, IL, a stepdaughter Kathy Hutchinson of Waveland, IN, step-son Jeff Holmes of Ladoga, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, brother Jerry (Barbara) Morris of Franklin, IN sisters Elaine Morris of Columbus, IN and Anna Lee Meagher of Glendale, AZ. He was preceded by a daughter Paula and a brother Leon.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Russellville Community Church the family will receive visitors from 12:00 to 2:00 Tuesday at the church. Pastor Dennis Reeves will officiate. Burial at Portland Mill Cemetery with military graveside rites.
