Martha Lucinda Batman, 51, of New Ross died at St Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. She was born on March 19, 1958 to John and Velma Long Davis.
She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1976 and was employed at R.R. Donnelley & Sons in the bindery.
She was married on March 20, 2009 at Crawfordsville to Brad Batman, who survives. Other survivors include a son Joe Sparks, a step-son Johnathan Caine Batman of New Ross, two Grandchildren, and brother Jimmy (Becky) Davis of Columbus, three sisters Dena Herring and Louise Davis of Indianapolis, Joan Landis of Plainfield, one niece and five nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.
Services will be Saturday Feb. 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene at the intersection of Hwy 231 and Hwy 234. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 A.M. to ll: 00 A.M. Rev. Mark Roberts will officiate. Burial will be at New Ross Cemetery following services.
Memorials may be given to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
