Margaret Elizabeth Ellis, 88, of Waveland died at St Clare Medical Center on Sunday, March 14, 2010. She was born October 19, 1921 at Crawfordsville to Clifford and Ora Cope Gillis.
She owned and operated a Grocery Store at New Ross & Mace. She was a member of Browns Valley Christian Church. She graduated from Alamo High School.
She married Jonathan E. Ellis on Dec. 31, 1957 at Crawfordsville and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one Step-Daughter Beverly Jean (Joe) Livingston of Oklahoma, Step-son Joe (Carolyn) Ellis of Crawfordsville, Son Clifford Scott (Michelle) Ellis of Crawfordsville, Daughter Jona ( Marty) McGaughey of Waveland, 14 Grandchildren, Several Great and Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded by her Husband, one Step-Daughter and one Grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held at Browns Valley Christian Church on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will be at the Church from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Rev. David Bock will officiate at the service. Private family burial of the Cremains will be held at Alamo Cemetery at a later date.
