Betty I. Hazlett 84 of Rockville died at her residence Tuesday at 1:00 PM. She was born June 25, 1925 to Hardy A. and Sarah M. Myers Harper in Parke county.
December 31, 1959 she married Joseph A. Hazlett at Crawfordsville and he died May 29, 2005.
She was a graduate of Bloomingdale High School. She and her husband farmed and worked in Parke County all her life. She had a stand and was involved with the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival for 43 years. She was member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxillary at Crawfordsville for 55 years.
She is survived by extended family and many friends. She was preceded by the parents, 4 brothers and a stepson.
Services will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland. Friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Scott Vollan will officiate and burial at Portland Mills Cemetery.
