Martha Alice Carrell, 78, of Crawfordsville died at Williamsburg Health Care on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 6:03 p.m. She was born on April 17, 1932 at Martinsville to Harvey Monroe and Elsie May Ewbanks Baldwin.
She graduated from New Market High School. She was a member or New Hope Christian Church and a Homemaker. A devoted child care provider and enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
She married Warren Carrell on March 25, 1955 at Lapland. He preceded her in death. Survivors include six sons David W. (Patti) Carrell at Crawfordsville, Alan (Debbie) Carrell, Darrell Lee (Nancy) Carrell, of Russellville, David A. Carrell at Russellville, Anthony A. (Barbara) Carrell at Lebanon, Henry Carrell at Crawfordsville, and raised Michael (Barb) Schlaegel, North Salem, 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, Brother Harold Eugene( Mary) Baldwin, Memphis, TN, Sister Faye (Don) Swisher at Crawfordsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers John Edward, Russell Max, Kenneth Wayne, and Marvin Dale Baldwin, and a Step-Father Cyrus James Hites.
Services will be Saturday August 7, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday. Officiating will be Dr. Harold Keck. Burial will be at Oak Hill North Cemetery.
